There are many faithful people
that volunteer to do many "jobs"
within our church. Without these
VSP's "VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE" our
church could not function. Of course, the
first group that
comes to mind is the folks that
come each month to prepare this
publication f o r
mailing to your home. AND, the folks that come every
week to put the Sunday Bulletin together.
Then there's those that take communion to the ill and shut-ins every month. Every week the
Altar Flower Deliverers
brighten someone's day. New volunteers will always be
welcomed for these "jobs." HOW ABOUT YOU?? It takes such a little effort on your
part to "Serve the Lord with gladness" and bless someone. You might find you'll be blessed, too.
TRY IT! YOU MIGHT LIKE IT
We have a great group of volunteers who cover the reception area of the church. They answer the phone, file, greet visitors,
and help with a wide variety of projects. We still could use regular help on
Tuesdays or Wednesdays any time from 9:00am to 5:00pm, or Thursday mornings
from 9:00am to noon. You might have the gift for administration or hospitality, so please call Charlene in the church office (369-1433) to set up a time to come in and try this "job" to see if this is your gift.

To Shirley McCall, our new Coordinator for the Immokalee Soup Kitchen ministry. Our members and friends have volunteered for
many years to help serve lunch to the hungry. A group goes every THIRD THURSDAY.
Volunteers are always welcome. There's a sign-up sheet in the Narthex, or
give Shirley a call at 368-3644 for further
information.
Many, many thanks to Donnie Rock for the beautiful new Advent paraments which add a lovely touch of color to the sanctuary. The paraments reverse to an appropriate white and gold which we will be using for
Easter. Blessings and appreciate to you, Donnie, for your thoughtful gift!
Thanks to the many volunteers for your help in decorating the church for Advent and Christmas. Please come again on
Wednesday, January 4th at 10:00am to take down the decorations and pack them away
for another season.

and Rene Murphy for taking a trip down memory lane to name the people
in the Choir picture that was in the previous month's newsletters. It was a
great help.
More thanks to Donna and Rene for going through every envelope of pictures
to write down as many names as they could .
Next, we need someone to correlate the pictures to be put into power-point format for all to view on the big screen at
some of our year-long get-togethers. Can you help?
There's more!! We need a few people to
put all the pictures into photo albums in chronological order. Can you help

Crossroads Preschool is pleased to have a new family joining our school. JENNIFER and her children—- son, KORBIN and daughter, VIOLET moved to Lehigh in 2011 from California. Jennifer's husband was in the Marine Corps and lost his life in January of 2011. I would
appreciate your help in showing our gratitude for his brave efforts by sending his family a "Thank you for serving our country" card. Let her know she is not alone.

Our Daily Bread Community Pantry has 2 teams that will be walking on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Miromar Outlets for the HARRY CHAPIN HUNGER WALK.
Money they raise goes into their account with the Harry Chapin Food Bank. They need lots of people to SPONSOR them. Brochures are in the Narthex with information
